Disposal Strategy for State Owned Property

Project Title | Strategy for the disposal and restructuring of the property portfolios of State Owned Enterprises
Client | Department of Public Enterprises
Dates | 2005 to 2006
The Project | During 2005 and 2006 Crispian Olver was the coordinator of a large scale policy development and implementation project designed to mobilise underutilised and vacant land owned by State Owned Enterprises, and coordinate the disposal or restructuring of an estimated R12 billion portfolio of properties.
Detailed plans for strategic parcels of underutilized land owned by SOEs, especially in proximity to major urban centres, were developed. As part of this project, Crispian Olver established the policies and capacity within the Department of Public Enterprises to take over and run this project at the end of 2006.
